Introduction To Chain Scraper Conveyor

Scraper conveyor is a continuous transportation equipment that uses a moving scraper chain to transport loose materials within a closed rectangular cross-section shell, using a continuous drive chain circuit equipped with regularly spaced crossbeams.

The chain passes through a channel or groove to prevent transported materials from falling off the conveyor, while the crossbeam pulls or "scrapes" them to the discharge point.

Scraper conveyors are typically used for heavy materials such as raw coal, ore, casting parts, and waste. Scraper conveyors are very suitable for slow transportation speeds in short distance, medium slope, and even underwater applications.
