Shandong China Coal Group Honors the August 1st Army Day with AI Scientific and Technological Innovation

To warmly celebrate the 99th Anniversary of the Founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, inherit the revolutionary heritage, promote the spirit of building a strong military, and further integrate Party building work with digital and intelligent transformation, Shandong China Coal Group hosted the August 1st Army Day themed event titled "Forge the Spirit of a Strong Military, Embark on a New Digital & Intelligent Journey" on August 1. The event was jointly organized by the Group’s Party Committee, Trade Union, Communist Youth League Committee and Women’s Federation. Qu Qing, Chairman of the Group, Han Yong, General Manager, and other members of the leadership team attended the activity. All staff participated in the event. Combining traditional revolutionary education with cutting-edge AI technology, the Group paid tribute to extraordinary military years and rallied strength for scientific and innovative development.

The event kicked off with the solemn national anthem. Han Yong, General Manager of the Group and Vice Chairman of Jining Support-the-Military Association, delivered the opening speech. He extended festive greetings to veterans, military family members and militia within the Group. He spoke highly of the dedication of veteran employees who stick to their posts, and called on all staff to carry forward fine military traditions and shoulder the mission of corporate development.

Later, Li Zhenbo, General Manager of the Group Information Department and General Manager of Zhongyun Group, delivered a speech on empowering corporate development through digital intelligence, advancing scientific and innovative transformation, and supporting military-corporate cooperation. He clarified the development direction of boosting high-quality corporate growth via intelligent construction and consolidating the foundation of military support work.

Guan Chenghui, Party Secretary of the Group, focused on Party building guidance, revolutionary heritage inheritance and team development. He elaborated on how to unite employees under Party leadership, carry forward the revolutionary legacy and continuously advance military support initiatives.

Xu Weiwei, Chairman of the Group Trade Union and representative of veteran employees, shared his military experience and work journey. He recalled his passionate military career and expressed sincere gratitude for the Group’s long-term care for veteran staff. He pledged to preserve the fine qualities of servicemen, fulfill duties at the trade union and take the lead in dedication.

After the speeches, all participants watched revolutionary artistic performances to reinforce their original aspirations and draw motivation for progress. Different from conventional events, this activity innovatively adopted the Group’s self-developed AI digital human for opening announcements. With independently developed AI technologies, customized tribute scripts for Army Day were applied. Intelligent technology empowered the revolutionary ceremony, vividly demonstrating the achievements of the Group’s digital and intelligent transformation and bringing a modern technological vibe to the whole event.

Following the speeches, a brilliant revolutionary art show began, featuring original performances presented by the Group’s employees. The powerful male solo We Are Soldiers expressed the loyalty and iron resolve of military personnel. Gentle female solos China Amid the Lights and Night at the Naval Port depicted a peaceful prosperous nation and paid tribute to soldiers standing guard. The affectionate male-female duet For Whom illustrated the profound bond between the military and civilians. The program lineup also included poetry recitations Review the Prosperous Motherland and Tribute to the Loveliest People, original three-and-a-half-line ballad Ode to the Military Spirit on August 1, Build China Coal through Hard Work, and dance Ode to Heroes. The diverse performances were highly inspiring, fully showcasing the positive, patriotic and striving spirit of China Coal employees, allowing the spirit of building a strong military to take deep root in everyone’s hearts.

The highlight of this August 1st themed event was the AI Revolutionary Knowledge Contest hosted by China Coal Group. The Group’s AI digital human raised questions on site, and all staff took part in the competition, greatly improving the engagement, professionalism and effectiveness of learning.

This August 1st themed activity serves as a vivid practice of integrating revolutionary Party building with digital and technological innovation for China Coal Group. It helped revisit the original aspiration of military service and inherit the spirit of building a strong military, while comprehensively showcasing the Group’s achievements in AI intelligent transformation. The activity effectively strengthened the cohesion and fighting spirit of all cadres and employees.
