Therefore, there are hidden dangers of accidents such as dropped chains, skipped chains, or broken chains. In order to ensure the safe operation of the scraper conveyor and prevent these accidents, it is necessary to tighten the elongated and loosened scraper chain at any time.
The function of the chain tightening device of the chain scraper conveyor is to tighten the scraper chain. At present, the tensioning device of the flexible scraper conveyor includes a ratchet chain tensioner, a brake belt tensioner, a hydraulic chain tensioner and a disc brake chain tensioner. At present, heavy-duty chain scraper conveyors mostly use disc brake chain tighteners. The disc brake chain tensioner is a chain tightening device that uses the power of the conveyor to tension or loosen the conveyor scraper chain. The disc brake chain tensioner uses a motor and a reducer connection cylinder as the machine base and is mounted on the connection cylinder with screws. When the hand wheel is turned clockwise, the tong arm of the chain tensioner moves to the brake disc with the pin as a fulcrum, so that the friction block on the tong arm generates a braking force on the disc brake. When turning the handwheel in the opposite direction, the caliper arm moves in the opposite direction and the braking force decreases until the friction pads leave the brake disc.
