Under normal circumstances, it is acceptable to increase the chain pitch of the chain scraper conveyor by 2.5%. If it exceeds 2.5%, it is necessary to evaluate whether to replace the chain.
If the working face is close to the end of mining, the wear of the scraper chain conveyor chain should not cause problems. If the working face is longer, a new chain needs to be assembled to reduce the risk of chain failure. When overloaded, the chain of the chain scraper conveyor will stretch plastically. When the load is removed, the chain link remains stretched.
The links of these scraper chain conveyor will increase the chain pitch by about a few millimeters, and the outer dimensions of the links will also increase in length. If the increased chain pitch occurs on one of the chains, it will result in chain mismatch.
