The chain is one of the parts of the chain scraper conveyor, but it is also one of the frequent failures, either broken or skipped. What is the cause of the chain-jumping of the scraper conveyor, and what method can be used to properly deal with such problems, so that the chain scraper conveyor can return to its normal working condition.
Inspection and analysis found that a large gangue was stuck in a chute of the chain scraper conveyor, and the gangue was brought to the nose sprocket along the chain, causing a large block on one side of the nose sprocket. In this case, check the head of the chain scraper conveyor and clean the sprocket, chain and other parts.
If a large piece of material is caught between the scraper and the floor of the chain scraper conveyor, it will also cause the chain skipping problem; in other words, it is caused by the different tightness of the chains on both sides of the scraper, and the short side belongs to the heavy load. The force is large and easy to break. Long-term use of such a scraper will easily cause serious wear of the sprocket, connecting ring or chain.
Under normal circumstances, the low chain jump at the head of the chain scraper conveyor is accompanied by the chain drop at the tail, so the problem of the chain drop at the tail must be dealt with first. In the specific operation, you can loosen the tail tensioning device and stand on the nose to judge which volume is jumping the chain.
Generally speaking, facing the head of the chain scraper conveyor, visually observe the upper slide scraper, the side far away from you is the side of the chain jumping, and the side closer to you is the other side. When repairing, the power needs to be cut off, and a wooden block should be placed between the side sprocket and the chain to be repaired.
After the completion of the power supply, and the electric forward scraper on site, the machine head sprocket rotates once to check whether the chain skipping is solved, if it is solved, check whether the wood block falls off, and tighten the tail tensioner after the wood block falls off.
